I am a believer that everything happens for a reason and I actually try and follow through with figuring out why things happen when I can.
Its very simple to say "everything happens for a reason" ...but do you really believe it?
Prove it! Try as much as possible with out overloading or causing yourself to stress and think about events in your life..preferably recent and see if you can figure out why things happened. This is not something that will take minutes or even days, so please give it time. I'm sure you could think of something quickly that will make sense and in some instances it could be that simple, but try and challenge yourself!
When you figure out the reason you will definitely feel an emotion or a sense of understanding inside and that's when you will know.
For example.. I was working at a place that I hated!! now hate is a strong word but I truly hated this job. I worked my butt off from the moment I walked through the door until the moment I left. Some people don't like busy positions but I actually enjoy it because my day is over quickly. Even though I was very busy...I was bored sometimes. Strange right?
Well I realized this job was not challenging me. It was so easy even though I was really busy.
I was there for 6 months and then my contract was not renewed. I was a temp employee. WOOOHOO!! I was so happy!! This job was stressing me out and actually gave me some traumas! This is how unhappy I was there.
Not long after when looking back that job did nothing for me. It was just a paycheck and I always wondered why this opportunity presented itself to me and why I accepted. Even though when I accepted I did not realize what I was in for...but you know what I mean.
So I chalked it up to .."Everything happens for a reason" Its been about 6 months since Ive left that position and I just realized why. I have been contemplating for quite some time to do a career change. I'm currently in IT. Its a busy environment and I'm always solving something. Even though this job was IT Esq..it was very basic.
If I'm left with a position where I'm not solving a technical problem, I'm not challenged!
My last position for that 6 month time frame was the worst part of my life to date!! In the end I realized that I do not need a career change and this will help me appreciate my future positions and excel!
The main thing to do is think "why is this happening or why did this happen" as much as possible and if you are a spiritual person prayer helps too. The answers will come to you.
All in all I'm learning more and more each day and I am accepting why things have happened to me. Hopefully this can help you do the same.
